AFTER B.F. GOODRICH PURCHASED SPONGE RUBBER PRODUCTS, THEY BEGAN ConSTRUCTING A SERIES OF INTRICATE PASSAGEWAYS TO EXPAND THE MANUFACTURING/WAREHOUSING iNTO ALL 9 BUILDINGS
SHortly after the devastating FIRE THAT DESTROYED ANOTHER MAJOR PLANT LOCATION, 415 HOWE AVE WAS SOLD TO NICK CONTI PURCHASED THE BUILDING. CONTI SELF-STORAGE WAS THE FIRST SELF-STORAGE COMPANY IN THE SHELTON/VALLEY AREA. NICK CONTI ALSO DREAMED OF UTILIZING THE BUILDING TO HELP REVITALIZE THE DOWNTOWN AREA.
OVER 40 YEARS LATER, Nick Conti's daughter and grandchildren carry on his legacy or bringing commerce and community and continuing to revitalize this historical building.
